Time Was Ticking Away As The Baby Moose, Trapped and Exhausted, Struggled To Survive

A baby moose somehow managed to fall into a lake and got stuck near it’s steep bank.

It’s mom didn’t leave, but there was no physical way for her to help the little guy out of his predicament.

So, mama moose stood patiently by as he struggled to gain footing to get up to where she was.

After awhile, it was apparent that he was getting nowhere fast.

More and more, it was looking like poor baby moose just might not make it out of the lake at all.

But, luckily for baby and mama, a pair of fisherman passed right by them and saw the struggle taking place.

They had the clarity of mind to leave the baby moose and mama moose alone for awhile to see if they could figure it out on their own.

However, they came back by a little while later and saw that the poor baby moose was out of breath and the mama moose and had walked away. So, they decided to step in and help.

Animal Rescue Site reports: Of course, they weren’t about to leave the calf struggling…

“We noticed that the calf was extremely exhausted, because the calf started to blow bubbles out of its nose,” the man wrote. “At that time, we figured it was safe to help.”

It didn’t take long to hoist the young calf out of the water and into the fishing boat.

The poor little guy was frightened at first, but he was so worn out from trying to get out of the lake that he couldn’t put up much of a fight.

And it was a good thing he didn’t either, because in no time the fishermen had him safe and sound out of the lake and onto dry land.

The little guy turned and gave the fishermen a quick look and then ran after his mama. That was enough of a thank you for them.
