Three little kittens were born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia.
It causes them to make movements that are jerky, and they are uncoordinated. Even walking is very difficult for them.
Everything is a struggle for them because of the brain disease, but they were lucky to find their way to the Kitten Rescue Nursery.
The staff saw how badly the trio of kittens, named Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles wanted to play and run around.
When a volunteer saw them, he knew he had to try to help them get around, so he went home and broke out the tools.
He made each little kitten their own wheelchair; Blossom a pink one, Bubbles a blue one, and Buttercup got a green one.
Now they can stay on their feet and motor around wherever they want – and they do!
Using the little wheelchairs is helping them to become stronger too.
Scratching an itch, or licking their paws was impossible before, but they can now.
The nursery hopes that when they are strong enough that someone will adopt all three so they can stay together, which probably won’t be long thanks to their custom wheelchairs!
