Dogs are stereotypically known as man’s best friend. It is a reputation that they have earned.
It is a reputation that they have earned. Dogs have the uncanny ability to show love and empathy well beyond the abilities of many humans.
Bonnie and Clyde are two such dogs. They have personally demonstrated love and compassion to one another, the love and compassion their owners should have given them.
The pair has become so much more than friends. They are literally inseparable.
They were found together roaming the streets in Maricopa County, Arizona. They were taken together to the local shelter.
It was obvious from the start that the pair were bonded, but the extent of their bond has surprised everyone they meet.
Bonnie, the smaller of the two, routinely rides on Clyde’s back. They even sleep snuggled up close together, as close as they can get.
“Initially we thought it was a fluke, but it started happening a lot,” said Jose Santiago, the shelter’s public information officer. “Now it’s unusual to not see them that way. They are as bonded as you can imagine.”
“It speaks volumes about the trust and bond they have,” Santiago continued. “It’s comforting to know that they are bonded so strongly to alleviate any stress, but it also stresses the importance of them going home together.”
Bonnie and Clyde were recently adopted. Thankfully, the pair were adopted into the same forever home with a mother, a father and three young girls.
After all, these two are already a forever family. They most definitely deserve to live the rest of their lives together.
