Man Adopts A Cute Shepherd-Mix Puppy Only To Find It’s Something Else Entirely!

A young man saw a sign on the house for free puppies and went to check them out. He wasn’t expecting to leave with one, but that’s exactly what happened.

He got puppy fever and left with a little guy he decided he’d name Neon.

Not long after he got Neon, he started to notice that his precious pooch had some really odd behaviors and wondered if something was wrong with him.

The dog wasn’t interested in treats, for one; and what dog doesn’t like treats?

He also didn’t really care for people other than his owner, which is also weird since dogs are such social animals. On top of that, he started jumping the fence or digging under when he would see other dogs.

He was at his wit’s end and needed to do something, so he thought it best to take Neon in for a checkup to make sure he didn’t have a medical issue that was causing his odd behavior.

On the day of the appointment, he just stood there with his mouth open when they looked at him and said, ”You know that isn’t a dog, right?”

It turns out his amber-eyed friend was a wolf-dog! His behavior caused by him to want to be a part of a pack; that’s why he was naturally attracted to dogs and not people.

Realizing that Neon needed his own pack, his owner decided to put his ‘dog’ first and allowed him to be sent to a special sanctuary for wolf dogs.

Neon loves his new pack; he even became buddies with the alpha female, Maya.

It’s very sad for Neon’s owner, but he considered Neon’s happiness first. Because of that Neon is living his best life with the pack that he so longed to be a part of.
